Graphics and Artwork
A wide variety of graphics and artwork can be added to your web site to enhance its appearance, much of it available for free on the Internet.   The image on the far right is actually a reduced version of a web page background.   It is a copy of the United States constitution that was faded and used as a page background with images and type placed on top of it.  Using images as page backgrounds must be done carefully to avoid distracting site visitors from the page content.

Photographs
Everybody loves a photo of family, friends, and pets!   Use groups photos or individual portraits.   Add blur or borders for unique effects. Take them at special events or just everyday moments.  Throw in some pictures of the house and garden or your individual product line photos.  When you get a good image that you want everyone to remember, don't be afraid to enlarge it for a dramatic impression.

Logos
Spice up your web site with the logo of your favorite team or organization.  Add color to your site by using the logo of a group in which you are proudly a member.

Animated Gifs
			In Memoriam
Animated images can add emphasis, flare, or humor to a web site.   Like most seasonings, they should be used sparingly.

Banners often include favorite images and text made distinctive by special fonts or by adding embossing and drop shadows to it.

Site navigation can be as simple as an underlined text link or a series of text links arranged in a table with a colored background.  Images such as buttons that change background color or text color when the visitor puts the cursor over them can be used to make your site more interactive.
